Dr. Tenna Anderton

I am Dr. Tenna Anderton principal of Claysville Elementary.  I graduated from DAR High School in 1983.  I attended Snead State College in Boaz, Alabama and received an Associates Degree in Elementary Education.  I graduated from Athens State University with a bachelors of science degree in Elementary Education.  I graduated from The University of Alabama and received an Ed.S in Elementary Education, Administration: Educational Leadership, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership.  
I have taught second grade for 13 years and first grade for 1 year.  I was assistant principal at Robert D. Sloman Primary, Douglas Elementary, and Douglas Middle School for 3 years.  I was principal of Union Grove Elementary School for 7 years, and principal for 3 years at Robert D. Sloman Primary School.  
I am very excited about being the principal of Claysville Elementary School.
 I taught second grade at Claysville Jr. High School for 10 years and was the Claysville Jr. High School girls basketball coach for 5 years.  I have been given the opportunity to see and visit with my former second grade students and basketball players.  I am blessed to be back at Claysville Elementary.  Claysville Elementary is a very special place to be.

Our campus is now a collaborative preschool through fourth grade elementary school. We enjoy seeing our students grow from preschool to fourth grade.  Academic Excellence is a priority at our school.  Our students take care of each other.  Our school is an extraordinary place to learn and grow.
